  • What The Alfred Waterhouse Preservation Project?
    The Alfred Waterhouse Preservation Project strives to gather and creatively share the story of one the most prolific Victorian Liverpudlian Architects, Alfred Waterhouse. The Preservation Project is multifaceted as a multimedia project consisting of this mixed-media website, text, photographs, and a debut short film about The University of Liverpool’s Victoria Building. The film is catalogued across five intertwined story pathways which you can access in any order that piques your interest or in the original chronological order.
  • Who Is Running The Alfred Waterhouse Preservation Project?
    The Alfred Waterhouse Preservation Project was created and produced by Peter Eric Lang, the Editor of The Liverpudlian, as part of his Major Final Production Project for his Media Production Degree at Liverpool John Moores University.
  • What Buildings Have Been Covered So Far?
    So far, as of April 2024, we have produced our first major project, Collection One: Victoria Building, focusing on the University of Liverpool's Victoria Gallery & Museum in The Knowledge Quarter of Liverpool City Centre. A Waterhouse Building constructed from 1889 to 1992.
  • Do You Intend To Expand The Alfred Waterhouse Preservation Project?
    Yes, we absolutely intend to do justice to the legacy of the Liverpool-born Architect whose important work across the country cannot be overstated. We have produced an Interactive Documentary piece on the Victoria Building in Liverpool and intend to focus on several other collections in the near future.
